Somatic Therapy in California and Washington

My approach to therapy is rooted in Somatic Mindfulness, stemming from my experience as a Buddhist practitioner, a Masters in Mindfulness-Based Counseling, and advanced training in somatic therapy and Polyvagal nervous system regulation. This gentle yet powerful exploration invites compassionate awareness that listens deeply to the wisdom of your body, where your story lives beyond words.

My passion is to support people in creating sacred spaces to uncover and release old patterns, traumas, and stuck energy. This is not about fixing; it's about remembering who you truly are—guided by the transformative power of loving-kindness, presence, and embodied wisdom.

How I Work

  • Somatic therapy centers the nervous system and attachment patterns that shape how safety, connection, and threat are experienced in your body. I support people in gently noticing and working with bodily sensations and implicit patterns, allowing long-held survival responses to soften over time. As regulation and emotional resilience grow, many people experience greater relational ease and a deeper sense of steadiness—healing that is felt in the body, not just understood intellectually.

  • I specialize in parts work and have advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1 & 2). I support you in getting to know the different parts of yourself—such as inner critics, protectors, or younger wounded parts—with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. Instead of trying to fix or get rid of parts, we build relationship with them, allowing long-standing internal conflicts to soften and a deeper sense of self-trust and integration to emerge.

  • Trauma healing is a core focus of my practice, and I have advanced training in multiple trauma-specific modalities. I support people in healing from trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm by working at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I integrate body-based, relational, and evidence-informed approaches to support healing from trauma, anxiety, dissociation, and emotional overwhelm in a way that feels grounding and manageable.

  • I integrate a liberation-oriented lens that recognizes how personal suffering is often shaped by systemic oppression, cultural conditioning, and inherited or collective trauma. In our work together, I support you in identifying internalized beliefs and survival strategies that developed in response to these forces. Liberation healing is woven into the process by helping you unlearn what no longer serves, reconnect with your authentic values, and reclaim a sense of agency, choice, and embodied power.

FAQS

  • Sessions are 50 minutes long

  • At the moment I only offer virtual therapy for clients who reside in California or Washington. In 2026 I will offer limited slots for in-person therapy in Berkeley.

  • I draw from a wide range of advanced trainings and work with the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. I’m flexible in how I show up, tailoring therapy to your unique concerns and the way you naturally relate and heal.

  • I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, relationship challenges, life transitions, hormone-related mental health, burnout, low-self esteem, and existential/spiritual crisis.

  • Therapy is typically weekly or bimonthly at the beginning, as this helps build consistency, trust, and momentum. As you begin to feel more grounded and supported, sessions can shift to biweekly depending on your needs, goals, and what feels most sustainable. We’ll decide together what pace feels right for you, and adjust as your needs change.

  • I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
